Car crashes into West Rogers Park 7-Eleven

There are few details, but here’s what we know…

Police are investigating an apparent car accident on Chicago's Far North Side.

A vehicle slammed into the West Rogers Park neighborhood 7-Eleven at 2741 West Touhy Avenue, near Touhy and California Avenues, said authorities.

Chicago News Report became aware of the situation at 8:39 p.m.

According to an officer at the scene, the entire front end of the store was wiped out.

It’s unclear if any injuries were reported.

  1. Is this a Chicago thang? Seems to happen in Uptown quite a bit. I've got a pic of a car sitting in the doorway of a Lincoln Park 7-11 from years ago.

  2. Nah, it's an old fart that shouldn't be driving anymore thing.
    There's a dry cleaner in Glenview that's had it happen twice, the Glenview post office had it happen last year & New York Bagel on Touhy has had it happen three times I know of.
    All old fools that shouldn't be driving anymore!

  3. The one in Lincoln Park was young. I don't know of too many "old" people (with cars) in Uptown. Lotsa people that shouldn't have even a donkey nor a car though......
