2 robbed in separate Edgewater muggings

Within the space of less than 15 minutes, two people were robbed during separate incidents in the city’s Edgewater neighborhood.

The first robbery occurred around 6:45 p.m. at Cedar Playlot, 5311 North Winthrop Avenue, at Winthrop and Berwyn, according to authorities.

A black male offender, 12 to 14-years-old, attacked someone and stole an Xbox gaming system, said police.

The young thief was wearing black short pants, a red shirt, and black Nike gym shoes.

About 10 minutes later, a second victim was robbed farther north, near the intersection of North Kenmore and West Hollywood Avenues, around 6:59 p.m.

A black male offender, in the company of two other black males, stole a man’s iPhone, said police.

The mugger is approximately 5’9”, 160 pounds, and he was wearing a white tank top.

After the robbery, the offender, along with the other two males, fled the scene in a white Kia.

At the time of this report, both robberies remained unsolved.

  1. "Diversity". Again, it's quite strange how the housing prices increase the FARTHER you move from the waterfront in this "world class" city. It's the exact opposite everywhere across the globe. Lil' did our forefathers know (yes, butch lesbians, what have YOU contributed?), this city was set up for ruin the day those train tracks were laid. I feel peace knowing they're not here to witness this.
