Thieves hit Edgewater CVS Pharmacy

Crooks got away with several items from a North Side Chicago store, but it may not be long before one of them is arrested.

Around 2:05 a.m., four black males stole t-shirts, deodorant, and cigarettes from the Edgewater neighborhood CVS Pharmacy at 6150 North Broadway, said police.

All four suspects are believed to be 17 to 22-years-old, approximately 6-feet-tall, and 150 to 170 pounds.

One thief was wearing a dark-colored hoodie... a second offender was wearing a long-sleeved, light blue and dark blue shirt and brown boots... the third shoplifter was wearing a light blue baseball cap with a dark blue or black jacket.

Authorities identified one of the thieves as Ryan Thomas, of North Greenview Avenue.

Police did not say how they identified Thomas.

  1. It's no surprise this happened where it did ... I live across the street from this store and have, on a few occasions, seen cashiers turn a blind eye to BLATANT shoplifting by neighborhood youfs. Easier to let it slide than risk being shot I guess but this is what happens when when all the homies learn it's a good place to steal.

  2. Both cvs locations in that area have horrible, incompetent staff.

  3. It's only going to get worse with the additional $1 tax on cigarettes here in this backwards state. "Redistributing wealth" is NOT working.

Vote with your head, not your heart.
