South Side store robbed, clerk hit with bottle

A clerk at a South Side store was injured during an overnight robbery, said police.

At approximately 3:12 a.m., the Scooby Mini Mart at 7701 South Racine Avenue, near Racine and West 77th  Street, was robbed, according to police dispatch.

During the hold-up, the clerk was struck in the head with a bottle, said police.

One of the two suspects involved in the robbery was described as a black male with dreadlocks wearing a gray sweater.

Both offenders were last seen running eastbound on West 77th Street, said police.
