A man was hit by CTA Red Line train at a North Side "L" station, according to police dispatch reports
The incident was reported at the Bryn Mawr stop at 1119 West Bryn Mawr Avenue, around 4:53 p.m.
Citing preliminary information, the man was pinned beneath the train.
At the time of this report, a large crowd of onlookers were starting to gather at the scene of the apparent accident, prompting authorities to request additional officers to control the crowd.
The victim was taken to a Illinois Masonic Hospital in unknown condition.

UPDATE: According to the Chicago Tribune, the man was not hit by a train... he fell on the tracks in front of a train.
