Cops: Rogers Park teen punched mom in the face, wanted for domestic battery

Chicago police are looking for a 17-year-old Rogers Park girl who allegedly punched her mother in the face.

Sunday, around 10:23 p.m., police were called to a 3-story apartment building on the 1400 block of West Fargo Avenue, near Fargo and Greenview.

Initial police dispatch reports indicated a teenage girl was threatening her parents with a knife.

Subsequent police communications suggested the girl hit her mother in the face.

The young offender was described as Hispanic with long brown hair, 5’5”, and 160 pounds.

After the incident, the 17-year-old fled the scene on foot… possibly armed with two knives, said police.

Investigators said an eyewitness saw someone matching the teen’s description at the Jarvis Red Line station, 1523 West Jarvis Avenue.

Officers were told to use caution when approaching the suspect.

Once apprehended, the girl may face assault and domestic battery charges.
