Police called to Wrigleyville neighborhood bar

Shortly after midnight, Chicago police were called to a North Side, Wrigleyville neighborhood bar.

Around 12:23 a.m., a robbery was reported at Merkle’s Bar & Grill, 3516 North Clark Street, near Clark and Eddy.

After a brief investigation, a responding officer said he wasn’t sure the incident was a robbery.

The officer said the incident was probably a “theft”.

The suspects were described as three male blacks in their 20s.

One offender was wearing a red jacket, a second suspect was wearing baby blue and dark blue flannel, and the third offender was wearing a leather, New York Giants baseball cap.

After the incident, the suspects fled northbound on Clark Street.

No further details are available.

  2. The good old days of ghetto Blacks staying in the south side are over. I blame the cops for not racial profiling anymore and questioning any suspicious behaviors. You can tell a nice Black man from a ghetto thug ( low pants, walking w a limp, ebonics speaking, wearing hood on head, and looking shady). If you see this, call the police.
