An attempted kidnapping was reported on the 7400 block of North Clark Street, around 8:25 p.m., said police.
Although police responded to that location, it’s unclear where the incident actually occurred.
Citing preliminary reports, a male suspect driving a gray Nissan Altima tried to abduct a 14-year-old girl.
At 9:23 p.m., a responding officer classified the incident as a bona fide attempted kidnapping.
No further details are available.
I live in Rogers Park and while I must admit I have a love/hate relationship with it, it is definitely NOT a good idea to raise children here. Its too violent. I saw a woman walking up Morse when I was on my way to work and she had two little boys with her that were carrying violins in cases. They were cute but I couldnt help but think to myself "instead of giving your boys violin lessons why dont you give them the gift of living in a safe neighborhood?". I feel really sorry for the little girl who was almost kidnapped. She is going to be traumatized for a very long time.
ReplyDeleteMaureen, hopefully main stream media will pick up this story so we can get more details. If a predator is on the loose, people need to know.

ReplyDeleteThere are ALWAYS predators on the loose.
For example, there are 8 registered sex offenders within a half mile of that address, most of them convicted of crimes against minors.
You get what you pay for. Rogers Park is a shithole.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to ask Phoebe "Thunderwhale" K10 why black people are always begging, even if they have nice clothes and jobs, why they are always running scams (pretending to be homeless, selling Streetwise stolen from another vendor w/o a license, pretending to be wheelchair bound, selling candybars stolen from Sam's club for their 'Bakkaball" team, etc).
ReplyDeleteWhy are they so fucking loud in public? Why can't they communicate without shouting?
