West Side: Victim stabbed several times in Austin neighborhood

A female victim was stabbed multiple times in Chicago’s West Side, Austin neighborhood, said police.

Monday morning, around 11:45 a.m., authorities were investigating a stabbing on the 5900 block of West Lake Street, near Lake and Austin Boulevard.

According to investigators, a female victim was stabbed in her right ear, her right shoulder, and on her right side, near her ribcage.

The injured victim was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital. Her condition is unknown.

Citing preliminary reports, a male offender was in police custody.

    Any time anyone uses a deadly weapon against you, it is a safe bet that they are trying to kill you.
