Early Friday morning, a car slammed into a median strip between inner and outer Lake Shore Drive, on the city's North Side, said authorities.
The accident happened around 3:13 a.m. near 3400 North Lake Shore Drive, said police.
According to an officer at the scene, the car knocked a street light down, which then fell on top of the vehicle.
Initial police dispatch reports indicated the driver was traveling northbound in a southbound lane before the crash occurred.
It’s unclear if there were any injuries reported.
