Authorities have released a description of a slain officer's stolen handgun.
41-year-old Clifton Lewis, an off-duty Chicago police officer, was shot and killed while working as an armed security guard at an Austin neighborhood store.
On Thursday, December 29, 2011, around 8:30 p.m., two gunmen wearing mask opened fire inside the M & M Quick Foods at 1201 North Austin Boulevard, said authorities.
The assailants took Lewis' gun and his police badge.
The stolen firearm is a Smith & Wesson, model 5946, 9MM, stainless steel, semi-automatic with a 4-inch barrel.
The gun should be similar to the one in the photograph.
If you find this weapon, do not touch it. Instead, call the police, immediately.

Weird, I thought they captured the savages. I wonder if the killers are running around chimping out with that cops firearm.
ReplyDeleteI was wrong, they diddnt nab the savages that did this. Badge and gun missing, sounds like a fun new years eve is brewing in the concrete jungle.
ReplyDelete....and they could be crusing around in one of those "used" "un-marked" Crown Vics with the partial hubcaps and spot light on the driver's side that the gubment, that you pay taxes to, allows to be resold - intact. I think I saw a few of them on a used car parking lot up on that Peterson Ave. once or twice.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the CPD should get Bunk from The Wire to go search for it. Oh, life imitating art...
ReplyDeletelooks like a Smith&Wesson 5943.
