At 5:36 a.m., a home invasion was reported on the 1800 block West Cuyler Avenue, near Cuyler and Wolcott.
According to police dispatch, a male offender broke into the North Side home, robbed the occupants at gunpoint, and fired his gun.
The intruder was described as a clean-shaven black man, approximately 25-years-old, about 6’5”, and 220 pounds.
The suspect was last seen wearing a charcoal-gray knitted hat, a charcoal-gray down jacket that falls just below the waist, and a lighter gray hooded sweatshirt underneath his coat.
Investigators said the assailant stole a laptop computer, close to 200.00 dollars, and a Whole Foods grocery bag.
Ten minutes before the home invasion on Cuyler Avenue, citizens on the 1800 block of West Berteau Avenue reported a male black knocking on people’s doors, reportedly begging for money to fix his car.
The suspect left the scene westbound in a dark or royal blue, two-door, 2006 Pontiac Sunfire with a spoiler on the back.
Police believe the incidents are related.

ReplyDeleteThese things are happening almost every hour. This is NOT normal, and the vast majority of the crimes are comitted by black.
ReplyDeleteprofessional sports were created to keep the big ones occupied, happy, and in-check. Without the NFL or NBA the 6'-5" / 220 pounders would all be out in the streets doing this whenever ans wherever they wanted / be tribal militia leaders.
ReplyDeleteLet's acknowledge the physical descriptions of these idiots, but keep the racism out. Not every white man is a serial killer or pedophile, but many who are arrested for those crimes are white men. Bottom line is that too many bad parents are having too many children who grow up without proper guidance, examples, or education, and reproduce exponentially over the years. Best way to address it is to stop paying people to be on welfare for life, encourage birth control at every possible venue, and even offer incentives to teenagers not to get pregnant.
