On September 30, 2011, around 2:45 p.m., two men attempted to lure a 10-year-old boy into a van.
According to police, the student was waiting for a ride on the 9300 block of South Wallace Street, when the incident occurred.
The boy is a student at Kipling Elementary School, 9351 South Lowe Avenue.
The offenders, two black men, believed to be 55 to 65-years-old, approached the boy in a brown van with the words "Church in Christ" written on the side of the vehicle.
One man called the boy's name; which was printed on the child's book bag, said police.
When the offender in the passenger's seat got out to approach the boy, the child's guardian pulled up and the van took off.
Both suspects were wearing dark blue jumpsuits and both men had short, black and gray Afros, beards, and mustaches.
The van appeared to be a service vehicle and had no rear or side windows.
Based on a Google Map search, there are approximately ten churches in the area where this crime occurred.
One of the closest places of worship is Trinity United Church of Christ.
Trinity is also the only church in the immediate area that has the words "church" and "Christ" in its title.
WTF! Why are some black people so hateful and lacking in humanity? Why is there so much black on black crime? What the hell is wrong with some black people? What are they missing in their genes/DNA that makes them amoral?
