Roscoe Village: Man shot, robbed
A man was shot during a robbery on Chicago’s North Side in Roscoe Village, said police.
The shooting happened around 10:50 p.m., near the intersection of Melrose and Wolcott.
That puts the crime scene in the vicinity of the 1900 block of West Melrose, and the 3200 block of North Wolcott.
The victim was described as a male white in his 20s.
He was shot in the left leg with a large caliber handgun, said police.
The shooter is a clean-shaven male black with short hair, 20 to 27-years-old, 5’7” to 5’8”, and 145 to 155 pounds.
The offender was wearing a black and gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
Police said the gunmen fled the scene in a black, two-door Infiniti with a dent in the driver’s side door.
The victim was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital, 836 West Wellington, in unknown condition.

Last Friday there was a shooting near Belmont & Damen. What is going on over there
ReplyDeleteThis happened right across the street from me. Did not hear a thing until CPD detective rang the doorbell to ask if we'd heard anything. He said the victim had been shot in the foot and robbed.
ReplyDeleteThis was my friend and he is doing really good. There have been a lot of crimes in this area recently so spread the word for everyone to stay safe and look out for one another!
