An unknown offender took a customer’s money at the Uptown neighborhood McDonald’s at 1004 west Wilson Avenue, near Wilson and Sheridan Road, said police.
Investigators said the suspect snatched the money from a dinning room table and fled the scene.
The offender was described as a male black with dreadlocks, wearing a white t-shirt and shorts.
The thief was in the company of another male black of unknown description.
Both men are believed to be in their teens.
Police toured the area looking for the suspects, but there was no indication any arrests were made.
This particular McDonald’s received two stars out of a possible four-star rating on Yelp.
Some of the customers who gave this location an unsatisfactory rating cited issues with aggressive panhandlers and other security concerns.

This little corner of Uptown is absolutely miserable and insane. Intoxicated people sprawled out on the sidewalk, unmedicated folks screwing with anybody and everybody, all it really needs are vultures circling around and a reality tv camera crew. I can see it now : "Hardcore ghetto action: The Series". It can guest star the latest hottie college graduate social workers before their soul is destroyed by Uptown.
ReplyDeleteOne of those mom and pop stores at the corner is gonna be a computer/cellphone shop?? These people can't even read or wipe their butt, let alone use computers!!!
Way back in the 80s, there used to be a Burger King caddy-corner to that McDonald's. Back then you could eat a burger and fries without having to keep one hand on a weapon!
ReplyDeleteI'm banned from Yelp, but it's been my experience that you can only see the workers at this restaurant move through the miracle of time-lapse photography. Why does it take seven minutes to get a freakin' apple pie that's sitting the warmer? Geezus
