Taxi stolen in West Ridge

A taxi was stolen in Chicago’s West Ridge/West Rogers Park neighborhood, after the driver reportedly left the vehicle running, with the key in the ignition, said police.

The green and cream-colored Checker Cab was taken from the 2500 block of West Devon Avenue, near Devon and Maplewood, around 8:34 p.m., said authorities.

A witness told investigators that a young black man stole the car.

So, until the offender is arrested or vehicle is recovered, you might want to think twice before getting into a cab with a young black driver.
