Around 1:20 a.m., a robbery occurred on the 3500 block of North Halsted Street, near Halsted and Cornelia, said police.
Per an online map, Little Jim’s is at 3501 North Halsted and Hydrate is located at 3458 North Halsted.
Both businesses are in close proximity to where the robbery occurred.
The thief stole the victim’s cell phone and other items, said police.
The offender was described as a black man in this thirties, approximately 5’7”, 170 pounds, with a dark complexion.
He was last seen wearing a dark-colored T-shirt and blue shorts.
After the robbery, the offender fled the scene eastbound on Cornelia Avenue.

I propose a community effort, a "guardian angel" type of effort where people armed with walkie-talkies and legally avaiable self-defense items (pepper spray, whistles) patrol Boystown and try to report/deter this behavior. It might not be that effective but hopefully these doofus kids would understand that somebody gives a *bleep*.
