At approximately 11:31 a.m., police were investigating an alleged sexual assault in Chicago's Near North Side neighborhood.

According to police dispatch, a woman was walking on the 800 block of North Clark Street, near Clark and Chicago Avenue, when the incident occurred.

An unknown male walked up to the woman and grabbed her "private parts", said an officer at the scene.

The alleged offender was described as a black man with a light complexion or an "Indian".

The purported criminal is about 5'8", approximately 140 pounds, and has long, white, curly hair.

He was last seen wearing a hat and a khaki jacket.

Police stopped a man matching the suspect’s description at 734 North Clark Street, around 11:33 a.m.

It’s unclear if an arrest was made.

  1. How sad that the black community has people who have no respect for women, no respect for humanity, no respect for property or no respect for human life. What a total embarrassment. Go ahead, blame all the crime on the economy, blame it on something that happened 150 years ago or even 60 years ago. Point the finger at EVERYONE else EXCEPT yourself! This is what your community turns out? Poverty, crime or color does NOT teach you how to be disrespectful...that's learned! OWN IT!
