A female victim was thrown to the pavement during a Northwest Side robbery, said police.
Some time around 1:34 p.m., a male Hispanic offender snatched a woman’s purse on the 4400 block of North Central Park near Montrose and Central Park Avenues.
"The guy knocked the woman to ground," said an officer at the scene.
The thief is about 5’9”, 18 to 20-years-old, has a medium complexion, and short black hair.
He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt and jeans.
The stolen purse contained a large amount of cash, said police.

Ghetto thugs, they're everywhere and seem to single out the weak, women, seniors, children, gays. Why? Because a man might beat the crap out of them...at least I hope they would. We need to start giving them a taste of what they inflict on us. Where are the residents? Why aren't they stepping in to help? I hear this all the time on the CTA trains, no one steps in to help. Are we all becoming cowards? How's that working out for ya?
