Rogers Park robbery leaves Skokie man stranded

A Skokie, Illinois man was robbed in Rogers Park around 4:38 a.m.

Apparently, the man was walking to the Howard “L” station at 7519 North Paulina Street, when the robbery occurred.

A witness saw several men, armed with knives, “jump on a white guy” and take his money.

The victim was mugged by three black male offenders, said police. One of the suspect’s hair was styled in dreadlocks, said an officer at the scene.

Because the crooks stole the man’s wallet, police had to drive the victim to his home in Skokie, Illinois.

Investigators searched the area, but they never found the thieves.

If you have any information on this crime, please contact the police.

  1. Hip-hop gangsta thug culture has contributed to the glamorization of crime. Now we're seeing the results. Send them to prison if that's what they want. And start finding ways to make these convicts pay their own way while there such as by the use of forced labor; they're a drain on the outside as well as inside. It's time to crack down on this culture of criminality.

  2. I'm sorry but I cannot stay silent any longer. I am so tired of living in fear because black men want to steal from hard working citizens. This has got to stop, but I doubt the new mayor and police superintendent are going to do anything about it. No one wants to address this issue because the the majority of these crimes are being committed by blacks. And saying so would mean you are a racist.

  3. Don't these ghetto thugs EVER sleep? Part of the problem is that they are very rarely caught so they figure they got away with it once, they'll get away with it again and again and again...

Anonymous, why is it when ANYONE tells it like it is, we are racist and prejudice? I think if it's coming from a white person, that's when racism is yelled the loudest. I don't care what color, shape or size they are, IF they are preying on innocent hard working people, they are a ghetto thug to me.

Looking the other direction is another part of the problem. Telling it like it is brings the problems to the forefront and only than, will change be affective. People need to take off their "rose colored glasses"..it's a different world out there:(

  4. I dont know who changed this but it should be 'EL' not 'L'. It's short for elevated train. 'L' doesn't make sense to me.
