Uptown: Woman falls from high rise window, dies, possible suicide

A woman fell several floors from a North Side apartment building on Sunday and police are calling the incident a "suicide".

On April 10, 2011, around 12:51 a.m., a 911 caller said a woman  jumped from a 9th floor window at 4848 North Winthrop Avenue in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood.

The address belongs to a high rise called United Winthrop Tower Cooperative.

As a result of her injuries, the woman died.

Later in the day, around 4:11 p.m., family, friends, and neighbors held a vigil for the woman in front of the building where she fell to her death.

No further details are available.
