Police said the robbery occurred at 10 East Chicago Avenue. The address belongs to a McDonald’s at the corner of Chicago Avenue and State Street.
The offender, who was described as an African-American man wearing a black coat, snatched the victim’s black Coach purse.
The suspect was last seen running southbound on State Street.
that place has always been full of questionable characters. and with that ymca down the street, there are plenty of reason to be careful in this area.
ReplyDeleteBusiness as usual and business is good.
ReplyDeleteI'm suddenly reminded of old McDonald's Commercial Phrases:
ReplyDelete"You deserve a break today" and "At McDonald's, we do it all for you". :)
Isn't the Norf side one of Chicago's "safer" areas? I know once in a blue moon (during the DAY) you see a police presence there but anyway......I've never seen the po-po having to make a "presence" at a Micky D's in Detroit. Not the type to gossip or anything.......
ReplyDeleteThey love to block the right-of-way here. I barge right through. Chicago, Gold Coast, Streeterville, Magnificent Mile, WTF ever it's called.....you're a MESS and it's no wonder the 60-somethings that think they're all that living there look like/walk like/speak like they're 91 years old.
This is NOT "diversity" here Chicago. Get a clue.
P.S. I just got called "hey, cracker" in this lovely place yall'z call Water Tower Place. The lil' niglet got checked Detroit style and he ran (couldn't have been all but 14) Your youth are bringing a very bright future for you Chicago. It's time to call up Tyrone (oops, I mean Obama).
Anonymous@11:25,
ReplyDeleteRight, like YOU know what you're talking about. Can't spell and talk like you're from the ghetto. I doubt the "cracker" comment EVEN HAPPENED! And by the way, I'm quite sure those "60 somethings" you say "look like/walk like/speak like they're 91 years old....have more money than YOU will EVER see in your lifetime.
Do us a favor, STAY in Detroit!
