A man flagged down a squad car after he was mugged in Uptown.
The injured man, who was bleeding, stopped police near the intersection of Sheridan Road and Lawrence Avenue. The victim said he was struck with an unidentified object and robbed, near Sheridan and Gunnison, around 9:50 p.m.
The offender was described as an African-American man with a light complexion, approximately 18 to 20-years-old, about 6’ to 6’2”, and was last seen wearing all black clothing.
After the robbery, the assailant ran through the alley at Gunnison and Sheridan. Police did not say which way the offender went.
Police dispatch reports indicate the robbery victim was taken to Weiss Memorial Hospital, 4646 North Marine Drive.

Just wait til the summer my friend!
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, hopefully the new Alderman will care more about what's going on in Uptown than the old tired out one. They can start by closing some of the SRO's. shelters and sec8 housing. Watch what a change that will bring. There are way too many of these housing options in Uptown, very disproportionate than the rest of the city because Helen "Shriller" wanted them there so she had a voting base to re-elect her over & over again and get extra TIF money for "fish farms"
