Food delivery driver robbed on the West Side

While attempting to make a delivery, a driver for an undisclosed restaurant, was robbed in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood.

The crime occurred around 10:59 p.m., at 1035 North Mayfield Avenue, near the corner of Mayfield and Thomas.

When the delivery driver arrived at the property, the offender emerged from the rear of the home, and took the driver’s food and wallet.

The suspect was described as an African-American man, approximately 5'6", 140 lbs, and was last seen wearing a black jacket with a gray hooded sweatshirt, underneath his coat.

It isn't clear if a weapon was used during the robbery.

The thief was last seen running through a nearby alley.

On October 14, 2010, a pizza delivery driver was robbed on the 5100 West Monroe Street.

  1. This sounds like a set up to me...order food for delivery and take the food and the money when it arrives. Wait until delivery stops in these neighborhood because of these ghetto thugs, than they'll really be on the hunt.
