East Village Shooting: 2 people shot after leaving Ukrainian Village McDonald’s

Three people, apparently in the same car, drove themselves to Stroger Hospital, after two of them were shot on Chicago's Northwest Side.

The trio had just left the Ukrainian Village McDonald’s at 2001 West Chicago Avenue, when two of them were shots blocks away, in the East Village neighborhood, around 4:39 a.m.

After going eastbound on Chicago Avenue from McDonald’s, the group turned southbound on Ashland Avenue, and were struck by gunfire on Superior or Huron Street.

The driver of the vehicle was shot six times and the passenger was shot seven times. It isn’t clear if the third person in the car was injured..

Sources say the group was on their way to a friend’s house when the shooting occurred.

  1. Well, for a while there, it was "White Castle" now they've moved on up to McDonalds....wonder where they got the extra money?????? hmmmm

At least no one died and thank goodness they don't know how to shoot. Has anyone told these thugs that a gun is not a toy because they sure don't know how to use them...that's a good thing for sure.

  3. Anonymous...Thanks... but lighten up and try and find some humor in the insanity of all the criminal activity going on all around us. It may seem like a warped sense of humor but at least I have one...STILL:)

Would you rather I go off on a tirade about all the crime? I can do that too. At least my "smart ass" comment got YOU to comment though.
