VIDEO: Fight Aboard CTA No. 81 West Lawrence Bus

On January 3, 2011, a CTA passenger recorded a fight aboard a westbound number 81 Lawrence Avenue bus.

In the video, a seemingly disruptive passenger boards the CTA bus and appears to argue with a CTA bus driver over his fare.

When a passenger at the back of the bus tells the man to "sit down"... a war of words ignites a physical confrontation.

Soon, the disruptive passenger and the man at the back of the bus begin to tussle with one another; until the man who was told to "sit down", is literally thrown off the bus.

This video also contains footage of a bicyclist colliding with a taxicab.

    I've been on buses where people have gotten on crazed and have wanted to tell them to sit the hell down as well, I'm so glad I don't because they're either drunk or off their meds. But hey, if you want entertainment for the day or night, ride the bus:)

    There have been plenty of times when I have been held hostage while the bus driver waits for a passenger to pay their fare.

    On more than one occasion, I have gotten up and paid someone's fare so I can get to where I'm going! :-)

    Years ago, when my divorced mom was dating a CTA Bus Driver, I remember him showing me some rule books.

    One rule was "Don't argue with the passenger(s), especially if he/she/they choose(s) not to pay"

    im sorry, i like some of the bus driver especially if they are nice that bum would gotten beat down then thrown off. this is chicago you get mollywhoped for shit like that, kudos to the guy who said sit down.

    There's a guy who rides the 81 that looks like he has that fake nose and moustache thing they sell at joke stores, except that it's actually his face.
