An officer at the scene said at least 100 children were involved in a fight at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Family Entertainment Center at 1219 West 76th Street; near the intersection of West 76th Street and Racine Avenue.
What started the fight at the MLK Center isn't clear.
Thus far, no injuries have been reported.
The entertainment center opened in 2003 and contains a roller rink, restaurant, and a bowling alley.
Dr. King was known as a man of peace. Ironically, almost anything bearing his name has violence nearby. :(
ReplyDeleteAs I was writing this article, I was thinking about how disappointed King would be, if he were alive today!
ReplyDeleteBowling Alleys, pizza places,HS basketball games and Skating rinks? These people clearly have anger issues and can't even go out for a night of fun without disgracing themselves or the name of MLK.
ReplyDeleteAnd... it's black history month! :-)
