Two African-American suspects are wanted for an armed robbery at a west side restaurant.

The thieves entered the Subway sandwich shop at 5630 West Roosevelt Road in Chicago‘s Austin neighborhood, around 10:54 p.m. One offender was armed with a gun, said police.

According to information provided by Subway’s security cameras, the robbers may have put the stolen money in a Subway sandwich bag. Authorities did not disclose the amount of cash taken from the restaurant.

Police said the muggers are in their early twenties and approximately 5’6” to 5’8”. Both crooks were wearing black or dark-colored hooded sweatshirts, baseball caps, and jeans. The hooded sweatshirts were pulled over their heads, so the store clerk wasn’t able to described the hats the men were wearing.

An officer who reviewed the store’s surveillance footage said one thief was wearing brown work boots and the other offender was wearing black or blue shoes.

The not-so dynamic duo was last seen running eastbound on Roosevelt Road.

  1. Can it possibly be that there are so many "African-American" men roaming around committing all these crimes all over the city? Is this their "day job"? Pretty soon, "african- american getto thug" men won't be allowed into stores because chances are, they will rob you. People will start discriminating ALL OVER again because of these ghetto thug losers. What a black eye on the black culture and those who participate and contribute to society.
