Weekend Bar Report: Fights, Brawls, 911 Calls, & Arrest

1:26 a.m. -- A 911 caller reported a fight at Ollie's Lounge, 1064 West Berwyn Avenue. At 1:28 a.m., an officer at the scene told police dispatch to disregard the 911 call. Apparently, nothing unusual was going on at Ollie's.

1:46 a.m. --- Security at the Transit Nightclub, 1431 West Lake Street on Chicago's Near West side, called the cops to report two women fighting in front of the bar. The bouncers were having a hard time separating the ladies. Police are frequently called to this bar.

1:48 a.m. --- Several patrons at the Lucky Horseshoe Lounge decided to press their luck when they allegedly threatened to "beat up everyone in the bar". The bar is located at 3169 North Halsted Street in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood.

One of the offenders was described as an African-American man, approximately 6'2", and was last seen wearing a black leather jacket and a white t-shirt. The 911 caller did not give a description of the other suspects.

According to a responding police officer, by the time he arrived at the Lucky Horseshoe, the troublemakers were gone.

2:06 a.m. --- Police were called to the Spin Nightclub at 800 West Belmont Avenue in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood. A 911 caller said ten drunk customers were getting rowdy.

2:58 a.m. --- Vlive Chicago Nightclub bouncers were accused of holding a man against his will. The man was reportedly being held in the basement and the bouncers were allegedly threatening to harm the man. The 911 caller said the bouncers were walking in and out of the room.

3:10 a.m. --- A concerned mother called police after her daughter's boyfriend or ex-boyfriend reportedly told her he was on his way to the 50 Yard Line at 69 East 75th Street in Chicago's Grand Crossings neighborhood. The boyfriend allegedly threatened to harm the woman's daughter, who works as a bartender at the club.

3:33 a.m. --- Police were called to the Sound Bar at 226 West Ontario Street on Chicago's Near North side, after a man in a red shirt and a sports coat decided to fight with the staff members at the front door. The offender was described as 6'3".

At 3:55 a.m., police were called to the Sound Bar a second time. This time, two men were fighting in front of the bar.

4:07 a.m. -- One person was arrested at Berlin, 954 West Belmont Avenue in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood. The reason for the arrest was not disclosed.

    As far as I know, all was calm at Hydrate that night. :-) We'll see what happens next weekend.
