According to police dispatch reports, two African-American men were involved in a shooting at one, or both of the aforementioned locations.
It's unclear if there were any injuries. If there were, I haven't received any information indicating an ambulance was called to the scene.
However, late throughout the evening and into the wee hours of the morning, I have been hearing reports indicating SWAT team members are setting up camp in the Woodlawn community.
I am not sure of the flurry of police activity in the south side neighborhood is connected to last night's shooting, but it certainly looks that way.
Update: According to Chicago Breaking News, the police standoff in the Woodlawn neighborhood was a "bust". Apparently, officers surrounded an empty building on the 6100 block of South Kimbark Avenue.
That means the suspects involved in last night's 11:30 p.m. shooting are still on the loose.

It's like these ghetto thugs wake up each day and take their pick of which of these crimes is on the menue. They don't shut their alarm off and go off to a 'real" job. They shut their alarm off and go out "hunting" everyday all day and night! They are, without a doubt, "Urban Terrorists" and should be treated as such! I'm sure "GITMO" has room!
