St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, AZ. |
Phoenix --- The Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix is so upset over a lifesaving procedure that terminated a woman's pregnancy in 2009, they want their toys back.
St. Joseph's Hospital, 350 West Thomas Road in Phoenix, Arizona, is being stripped of its catholic status. Furthermore, the hospital will no longer receive donations from the Catholic Church and has been ordered to remove the Blessed Sacrament from its chapel... and can no longer celebrate Mass.
Bishop Thomas Olmsted, who spoke at a recent press conference on behalf of the church, said the 2009 procedure was an abortion, and therefore, violated the religious organization's beliefs.
Isn't funny how men are always trying to tell women what to do with their bodies? Here's a man who has never been pregnant, will never be pregnant, or face a life-threatening situation where he has to choose between his life, or his unborn child's. Yet, here is he is --- full of wisdom.
I think I'm going to send St. Joesph's a big, fat check!
So the Catholic church would rather the woman die? That seems like a huge contradiction to what they preach every mass, but I'm not catholic so wouldn't know. I just figured the religious organizations pretty much preach the same teachings. No wonder the catholic church has all these "come back to church" ads on the local channels. They're still in the dark ages. Save the baby, let the mom die? Wow! Big government and religion have way to much control and influence over the our bodies. They make strange "bed fellows", government & religion.
