Strong-arm Robbery in West Rogers Park

At 3:07 a.m., two thieves robbed a man in the West Rogers Park neighborhood.

The strong-arm robbery occurred on the 6400 block of North Claremont Avenue, near the intersection of North Claremont and West Devon Avenues.

Police said two African-American men forcibly stole $200.00 from their victim. According to authorities, no weapons were involved.

Both suspects are approximately 5’10”. However, one man was described as 170 lbs, while the other offender is closer to 200 lbs.

The most distinguishing characteristic about one suspect, is the coat he was wearing. The victim described the crook’s coat as a silver jacket with a large fur collar around the hood. The other suspect was wearing a black jacket with a hood.

Police described the getaway vehicle as a white Crown Victoria. The car may have been an old police car, said one officer.

  1. "tis the season to be robbed, falalalalalalalala" I thought this was the season of GIVING not TAKING. Highly unlikely these ghetto thugs are going to put the money in the Salvation Army pot or donate it. Wonder if their parents or girlfriends ask them where they got the money, when these ghetto thugs give them a gift on Christmas day they bought with someone else's money?
" Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus" to bad he's a ghetto thug.
