Man Carjacked in Humboldt Park

At approximately 1:36 a.m., a man was assaulted and carjacked near the intersection of West North Avenue and North Pulaski Road on the border of Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood. 

The victim told police three white men with teardrop tattoos underneath their eyes, struck him in the face, causing him to drop his car keys. After the attack, the victim ran to the McDonald’s at 4338 West North Avenue and called for help.

While the victim was escaping, the thieves were looking for his car keys. Apparently, they found them.

Moments after officers disclosed the victim’s location, police dispatch announced that the possible carjacking, was indeed a vehicular hijacking.

The suspects were last seen driving a dark green 1995 Ford Explorer. The stolen vehicle was described as a gold 1995 Honda Accord with a temporary tag.
