Since Rahm Emanuel is hogging all the headlines, Carol Moseley-Braun had to find a way to get our attention.
Moseley-Braun says she knows how to curb Chicago's crime wave... fire Chicago Police Superintendent Jody Weis. During a recent press conference, the mayoral hopeful basically said Weis is an outsider who needs a Police-Management-for-Dummies book when it comes to running Chicago's police department.
If elected, Moseley-Braun would replace Weis with an existing officer on the force.
Speaking of so-called outsiders....
It appears that Danny Davis isn't the only candidate worried about Bill Clinton stumping for Rahm Emanuel. Moseley-Braun is scared of old Bill, too. Playing the same card Davis used, Moseley-Braun suggested Clinton stay home or risk losing the support of African-American voters.

Carol's memory must be fading, because she had no problem supporting Clinton in 1992 and 1996. In her US Senate Campaigns of 1992 and 1998, Carol had no qualms accepting non-Illinois' campaign money. In 1999, Carol cheerfully accepted the New Zealand Ambassador post via Clinton's sponsorship.
