13-year-old Shot in Chicago's South Deering Neighborhood

I have received several reports that a 13-year-old boy was shot in Chicago's South Deering neighborhood on the far south side.

The shooting occurred at 8:05 p.m. on the 10900 block of South Buffalo Avenue.

According to an eyewitness, the boy was shot in the arm.

There are also reports that a shooting took place at Wolf Park, which is right across the street from where the boy was injured. And shots were allegedly fired on the 10900 block of South Mackinaw Avenue, as well.

So far, there is no information on the teen's condition.

  1. According to Chicago News Report, this was a drive-by shooting and the boy is 14 not 13, as previously stated by a 911 caller.
