At 10:02 p.m., several CTA passengers called 911 to report a scuffle between a CTA employee and a passenger. The so-called brawl erupted at the Madison/Monroe “L” stop at 26 South State Street.
According to one 911 caller, the CTA employee was "trying to hold the passenger down".
The reason for the alleged altercation was not divulged.

At 9:48 p.m., an assault was reported on the CTA Red Line. The incident occurred on a train approaching the 63rd Street “L” station at 220 West 63rd Street.
Witnesses said an African-American man wearing a red shirt and cream-colored pants was attacking an African-American woman on the train.
Police said the attack might have been domestic related.
