Just after 10 p.m., a carjacking occurred in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood.
The vehicular hijacking took place on the 2000 block of North Dayton Street. The thieves stole a gray, 2003 Lexus SUV at gunpoint. The stolen vehicle has a partial license plate number of 358864.
The assailants were described as two African-American men. Both men are believed to be in their twenties and approximately 6-feet-tall. Police say both suspects were dressed in dark clothing and one suspect's hair was braided.
After the carjacking, the thieves fled the scene northbound on Dayton.
Police haven’t made a connection, but I think this carjacking is related to the armed robbery on the 1100 block of West Altgeld.
