Around 10:28 p.m., a CTA train operator called in a suspicious object on the tracks near the Blue Line, UIC-Halsted station at 430 S. Morgan Street.
The object was described as yellow in appearance and was lying on the northbound tracks.
At 11:18 p.m., officers announced that Chicago’s Bomb and Arson Unit were on the scene.
Strangely, CTA never announced any Blue Line service delays on their website.
Around 11:32 p.m., CTA was given the okay to resume services on the Blue Line.
