Man Shot or Stabbed at House Party in Avondale: 2900 N. Kedzie Ave.

Around 12:45 a.m., police were notified of a possible shooting in Chicago’s Avondale neighborhood, after a badly wounded victim was driven to St. Mary’s of Nazareth Hospital.
The victim was transported to the hospital by his friends.
According to police, the crime took place at a house party on the 2900 block of North Kedzie Ave. When police went to the location to investigate the possible shooting or stabbing, witnesses allegedly told police the man was hit in the head with a board.
The officer observed blood at the scene, as well as several bloody logs.
Through a brief police investigation, it was determined that the possible shooting or stabbing occurred at the North Kedzie Ave. address.
According to an officer at St. Mary's Hospital, the victim appeared to have sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The officer said the man was shot twice in the buttocks, once in the back, and once in his upper-left arm.
Medical professionals weren't sure if the man had been stabbed or shot.
At 1:15 a.m., it was announced that the patient was being transferred to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.
