Early this morning, some time around 2 am, someone was attacked near Berwyn and Kenmore. Police described the incident as aggravated battery.
The victim was stabbed in the left arm and was taken to Weiss Hospital, located at 4646 North Marine Drive.
The assailant is described as an African-American male, approximately 20-years-old, 6-feet-tall, 175 lbs, braided hair, and wearing all black. Police say the man was armed with a knife. He was last seen headed eastbound on Berwyn.
Hours later, mainstream media picked up the story, with most of the important details missing.
