Monitor Formal Wear in Uptown, Burglarized
1:07 am -- A citizen called 911 after spotting a man fleeing the scene from what appeared to be a burglarized business.
Police gave the address of 1422 W. Wilson Ave. (between Clark and Dover), in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood. The address belongs to Monitor Formal Wear, a business that specializes in Tuxedos.
The burglar attempted to take a laptop, and left what an officer described as a pillowcase, at the crime scene. It appears the burglar alarm frighten the thief before he could steal anything.
The suspect was described as a very thin, African-American male.
