10:04 pm -- A man was shot in the head on the 6700 block of South Tripp. When an officer on the scene was asked if the victim was a DOA (dead on arrival), he said, “he’s gonna be”.
Other news sources are reporting that the shooting victim was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, in critical condition.
Around midnight, I received information that the car involved in this shooting was spotted in the area of 69th and Kolin Ave. The car was described as a black Honda. When an officer on the scene ran the car’s license plate, it came back registered to someone who lives on the 6800 block of South Kolin Ave. The officer asked dispatch to call the tipster back and get more information on why he or she believes the Honda was involved in the shooting.
