Brave Chicago Man, 'Malik', Saves Teen From Shooting, Begs Gunman to Spare Boy’s Life

This is a story about a real, true, Good Samaritan. And if more African-American children had fathers like the gentleman featured in this article, maybe there wouldn’t be so much senseless violence in the black community.

From the moment I first read this story, I couldn’t get it out of my mind. A man, known only as “Malik“, looked death in the face and risked his life to save an unknown teen from a gunman’s deadly bullet.

Here’s how the scene played out: Last Tuesday, a 14-year-old boy was shot and wounded by a gunman, who witnesses say, was determined to kill the teenager. But before the triggerman could shoot the victim in the face, “Malik” rushed to the scene and literally begged for the boy’s life.

“I said, ‘Please man. Give him another chance. Let him live. Please. Don’t kill him,” said the Good Samaritan.

Malik says he wasn’t afraid to approach the gunman. The brave south side Chicago man said he felt God wanted him to intervene.

Everyone take notes. This is what a real man looks like.
