Attempted Rape, Assault Near North Side Dairy Queen

3:30 am -- Police responded to an alleged criminal sexual assault, this morning.

Someone reported a woman being dragged into an alley behind a Dairy Queen, located at 2200 North Lincoln Ave; at the intersection of Lincoln Ave and  Larrabee Street. The 911 caller said the woman was screaming as she was being pulled into a secluded location. By the time the call was announced by dispatch, police were already on the scene, with several suspects in custody.

From what I overheard, the atmosphere was chaotic.

A female Chicago police officer could be heard screaming, “Get up! I’m not playing with you! I‘m not plying with you!”. The same officer was later heard asking another officer to detain a male suspect. Moments later, I heard what sounded like an African American male, presumably a suspect, yelling, “Oh! You gonna hit me?!” Which was immediately followed by a male officer asking for back up.

Additional units responded to the scene.

I don't think anything serious occurred at this location, because an officer on the scene described it as the "usual foolishness".
