This evening, around 5 pm, Kat Miller, a Chicago tour boat captain, discovered 21-year-old Christopher Gary’s body in the waters near the Adler Planetarium, located at 1300 South Lake Michigan.

Miller said she didn’t want to alarm the tourists on her boat, but she definitely knew it was a body and immediately called the Chicago police Marine Unit.

Christopher Gary went missing on August 6, 2010, after a boating incident with four friends: James Shepherd, who died, and Irene Rogers and Kristin Masterson; who were rescued from the waters of Lake Michigan.

This is devastating news for Gary's family; who hoped he would be found, alive.
