The victim told the officers he was attacked by four black men; one of whom struck him in the head with a stick. It has not been confirmed that the victim’s assault was related to the incident police were investigating at the time.
The officer on the scene immediately requested an ambulance. Dispatch said EMS was on the way. However, when the ambulance got to the scene, it kept going. They were responding to another call in the area. The officer made a second request for medical assistance.
No word on the victim’s condition or where he was taken for medical attention.
