Kevin Clewer: Chicago Man's Lakeview Murder, Still Unsolved

Do you recognize this man? Police say he may be responsible for Kevin Clewer's death. If you have any information on this case, please contact the Chicago police department and reference case number HK-259944.

On March 24, 2004, Kevin Clewer's body was discovered in his Lakeview apartment. Kevin's father, Jim Clewer, discovered his son's body after he kicked in his apartment door. Clewer had been stabbed an estimated 42 times.

A composite sketch of a person of interest was circulated, but no viable leads were generated.

Witnesses say Clewer was last seen with a white or Hispanic male with a thin, athletic build. The man was described as 5 feet 7, with dark wavy hair, and spoke with a Hispanic or Spanish, European accent. Police are calling this suspect "Fernando".

I became aware of this story after reading a short ABC News article. The news blurb mentioned that a website was created in Kevin Clewer's honor, in hopes of catching his killer. You can visit the site at: www.4chicagokev.com

Help catch a killer. If you know anything at all about this crime, please contact the police.
