Report: Victims robbed in Edgewater home invasion

At least two people, and possibly a third, were robbed during an apparent home invasion in Chicago's North Side Edgewater neighborhood.

Around 12:18 a.m., several frantic 911 calls were made from a residence on the 5600 block on North Ridge Avenue, near Ridge and Hollywood.

Citing multiple sources, two black men believed to be 25 to 35 years old, kicked in an apartment door and robbed several occupants at gunpoint.

According to authorities, one mugger was wearing what sounded like a police badge on a chain around his neck.

Investigators said two wallets containing an unspecified amount of cash, were stolen during the apparent home invasion.

At the time of this report, police were still searching the area for suspects.

  3. ^ Possibly it was just a "simple battery". There's a different category.
