According to Edgewater robbery suspect Jose M. Martinez's Facebook page, he's a Nicholas Senn High School student with lousy grades, a bad attitude, and apparent substance abuse issues.
On Saturday, June 1, 2013, around 1 a.m., Jose M. Martinez of the 6200 block of North Wayne Avenue, was arrested for robbing a man of his cell phone in Chicago's North Side Edgewater neighborhood, said police.
When Martinez tried to flee the scene on a bike, the victim, identified as 20-year-old Columbia College student Spencer Meeks, tackled Martinez and held him until an off-duty police officer came to the rescue.
While Chicago News Report wasn't there when this scene unfolded, we have a feeling one of the reasons Martinez didn't escape is because he is a bit on the chunky side and he spends most of his free time sucking on blunts... which means homey is probably easily winded.
Not only is Martinez's Facebook page littered with references to smoking drugs... he also photographed himself holding a bottle of cough syrup... and we doubt Martinez had a cold at the time.
The 17-year-old robbery suspect also used his online profile to bitch about being suspended from school and receiving Fs in at least two classes, last year.
