1 dead in Calumet Heights shooting

Saturday, Chicago police were investigating a homicide in the city’s Far South Side Calumet neighborhood.

The incident occurred around 4:24 p.m. on the 1600 block of East 91st Street, between East End and Stony Island Avenues.

Citing police communications, the exact location of the shooting is 1645 East 91st Street.

Four male Hispanics exited a red 2005 Ford Station Wagon and shot another male dead on the streets, said investigators.

After the shooting, the offenders fled the scene on foot - leaving their vehicle behind, said police.

According to officials, the abandoned car is registered to a Hispanic female who lives on the 2100 block of West 18th Street.

At the time of this report, the shooters were still at large.

  1. No bullets flying or murders on condo porches in Edgewater today? Or are they raising a hissy fit about reality too?

    Who cares about Calumet or it's "heights". The only thing I know about it is from a youtube video of a bunch of "heathens" destroying a mall Magnificent Mile style and decided I'd never visit.
